Determinan Cakupan Imunisasi Tetanus Toxoid (TT) pada Calon Pengantin di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Jambi Kecil

Abstract

Tetanus Toxoid (TT) immunization is one of the important efforts in the prevention of tetanus in mothers and newborns. However, the coverage of TT immunization for brides-to-be in the work area of the Jambi Kecil Health Center in 2024 will only reach 41.9%, far below the national target of ≥80%. This study aims to analyze factors related to TT immunization coverage in brides-to-be in Muaro Jambi Regency. The research design uses an observational quantitative analytical approach with a cross-sectional method. The research population amounted to 221 brides-to-be, with a sample of 107 respondents selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed by Chi-Square test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The strength of the relationship was measured using the Prevalence Ratio (PR) with a Confidence Interval (CI) of 95%. The results showed that knowledge (p = 0.023; PR = 0.77; 95% CI: 0.62–0.94), sources of information (p = 0.033; PR = 0.78; CI 95%: 0.63–0.98), and the role of health workers (p = 0.014; PR = 0.75; CI 95%: 0.60–0.95) were significantly related to TT immunization coverage. Meanwhile, attitudes, partner support, and access to health services did not show a significant relationship. These findings confirm the importance of increasing knowledge, optimizing information sources, and strengthening the role of health workers in increasing TT immunization coverage in the community.
