Analisis Reduplikasi Bahasa Paser Dialek Pematang di Kecamatan Tanah Grogot Kabupaten Paser

Reduplication is a process of repeating a language unit either in whole or in part, reduplication can also function as a phonological and grammatical tool. The Paser language is one of the many languages used by the Paser tribe, which is part of the ethnic group in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The development of the Paser language is also influenced by the cultural, historical, and social context in which the speaking community lives. The formulation of the problem of this study is the form of reduplication and the meaning of reduplication in the Paser language of the Pematang dialect. The purpose of this study is to provide a deeper insight into the form and meaning of reduplication in the Paser language and to examine the variations in the use of reduplication in the Paser language and how reduplication interacts with other elements in the word. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique in this study uses interview and recording techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is the disappearing technique. The results of the research obtained are (1) The overall form of reduplication found is in the form of the words suni-suni, mite-mite, buenbuen, and ube-ube (2) The form of reduplication changes the sound found in the form of the word ulak-aluk which means side dishes and tutu-mutu which means mash-mash (3) The form of reduplication with affixes (dwipurna) found in the form of the word berjatus-jatus which means hundreds.
