Abstract

This study examines how to manage human resources to address teacher burnout in the digital age. It focuses on the growing need for digitalization in education, which not only transforms learning methods but also impacts teachers’ workloads and psychological well-being. This study employs a qualitative approach, relying on literature-based research. Data were obtained through document analysis from various relevant sources, including national and international journals, books, and previous research findings related to human resource management, teacher burnout, and technology-related stress in the digital era. The technique used to analyze the data was content analysis. This was conducted by examining, categorizing, and interpreting various theories and research findings relevant to the study’s focus. The research indicates that the burnout experienced by teachers in the digital age is influenced by various factors, such as high job demands, pressure from technology use (technostress), and a lack of organizational support. Burnout is characterized by emotional exhaustion, a decline in motivation to work, and a reduced ability to perform professional tasks. Human resource management strategies to address teacher burnout involve developing digital skills, providing ongoing training, and strengthening organizational support, creating a healthy work environment, as well as the role of school principals in safeguarding teachers’ well-being. The findings of this study indicate that effective human resource management is crucial for reducing the burnout experienced by teachers in this digital age. Success in transforming education depends not only on technology, but also on the readiness and well-being of the people implementing it.
